Export Packaging

Our comprehensive service range includes:

  • Case/crate manufacture and packing at customers premises
  • Climatic packaging
  • Machine base cases BER
  • Shrink wrapping

As an essential module in our comprehensive export services, Linc Group’s Export Packing Division offers an unparalleled range of export packing services to suit the needs of every exporter.

Our Export Packing Division is fully integrated with our Export Operations Control as there are important factors to be considered other than merely supplying a robust case or crate for your valuable shipment. For example:

  • When does the Letter of Credit expire? - is key
  • Depending on the country of destination, what packing materials are to be avoided? - knowledge of regulations is vital

Insurance

At Linc Group we understand that shipments must be comprehensively covered for all eventualities. That’s why we regard it as our duty to provide clients with a choice of the full range of insurance products and to advise them on which product is most suitable for them. Your Linc Group account manager is ready to discuss and arrange appropriate insurance cover with you, so you can enjoy complete peace of mind.

All insurance arranged by Linc Group is underwritten by Lloyds of London.

Export Documentation

SITPRO’s Letter of Credit report of February 2003 estimates that the UK lost £113 million in one year through non compliant documents being presented under Letters of Credit!

Financial security for both buyer and seller is a vital consideration in any international trade transaction. Problems with Letters of Credit can start before they are received by you.

Linc Group provides the guidance to meet your criteria. Excessive and unnecessary documentation causes both confusion and delays. By opening the Letter of Credit correctly, both you and your overseas customer will save time and money.

Once opened Linc Group will scrutinise the L/C for potential pitfalls and, if needs be, approach the overseas customer in order to obtain an amendment.

By liaising closely with you, Linc Group will then arrange the movement of the consignment and in due course prepare all documents required under the terms of the L/C. Linc Group can present those documents to the Confirming/Advising Bank and monitor process through the banking system until final payment is made direct to you.

Just 4 of the top ten discrepancies leading to rejection of documents (SITPRO February 2003)

  • Inconsistent data
  • Late shiping
  • Late presentation
  • Incorrect goods description.

Letter of Credit Payment Sequence

A major worry in international sales is payment. No seller wants to go to the expense of manufacture, packing and shipment before receiving firm assurances readily ascertainable and enforceable that payment will be made. No buyer wants to pay before and unless there is certainty that the goods and documents confirming to the contract are on their way. A Letter of Credit removes these issues by concentrating on the negotiation of the shipping documents between the seller and buyer.
